About the role
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced School Physician to join the team at AMA University in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As the School Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care and health services to the students, faculty, and staff of the university.This is a full-time position that will require you to be on-site at the university campus.
What you'll be doing- Provide primary care and medical treatment to students, faculty, and staff
- Conduct regular health check-ups and screenings
- Manage the university's health clinic and oversee the nursing staff
- Develop and implement health education and wellness programs
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers and facilities for specialist care or referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Advise the university administration on health-related policies and procedures
- A medical degree (MD or DO) and a valid license to practice medicine in the Philippines
- At least 5 years of experience as a general practitioner or in a similar school-based medical role
- Demonstrated expertise in providing primary care and managing a range of medical conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and university administrators
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical record systems and data management
