About the role
Ascendion is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, scalable, and secure Java-based applications that are critical to our business operations.
What you'll be doing- Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and codebase
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Java Developer
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks and libraries
- Experience with database technologies, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Familiar with version control systems, such as Git
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
