MECHANICAL ENGINEER (PROJECT SITE BASED)

About the role

This is a full-time position based in Metro Manila and sites in nearby provinces.

1. Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all mechanical related operations at the site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
2. Ensure that sub-contractors perform its installation in accordance with the plans and specifications the mechanical engineer designed.
3. Act as planners, material control engineers, quality engineers, etc.
4. Supervise all installations of machines and equipment at site there by ensuring fulfillment of industry standards and requirements.
5. Review the works produced by the design engineers and maintains necessary coordination with other discipline engineers for the smooth flow of projects.
6. Estimate, prepare, and assign resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Mechanical and related works prior to execution.
7. Plan and analyze all possible construction methodologies and recommend the best options to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site.
8. Interpret construction drawings and study the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to the execution of any jobs.
9. Manage directly and provide engineering and technical support to all the Mechanical workgroups at the site.
10. Plan the execution of all Mechanical related works and coordinate the works to Electrical and civil groups.
11. Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met daily for all Mechanical groups at a site.
12. Submit site daily reports, inspection requests, cost estimates, and all applicable monitoring reports on a regular basis or as required.
13. Ensure that all the works have done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
14. Ensure that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
15. Carry out all Mechanical Works and equipment installation activities.
16. Support the Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the Mechanical and Electrical groups at the site.
17. Attends regular meetings with a client, civil engineers, and consultant to provide an update on project progress.
18. Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at the site that may arise at any time.
19. Helps achieve objectives and compliance of the construction industry in relation to quality and standard.
20. Performs other functions that may be required by the Project Manager.

1. Registered Mechanical Engineer.
2. At least five to ten (5-10) years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design, project management, or construction industry.
3. Proficient in the use of CAD software, project management tools and engineering analysis software.
4. Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
6. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards and regulations in the Mechanical Engineering industry.
7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
8. Willing to be relocated to Laguna, Cavite, Metro Manila.
