R&D Supervisor (Food Technology) - Muntinlupa
Supervises the R&D technical staff in developing new products, testing of new and alternative raw materials, and innovating safe and quality products. With a strong technical background and experience in client-facing roles such as sales or product presentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises the daily activity of the R&D team and ensures that all practices are in accordance to good laboratory standards.
- Reviews generated reports and technical works submitted and other pertinent work instructions and procedures.
- Approves the release of samples for client testing.
- Ensures all data in the experimental reports have been validated and verified before drawing conclusion and recommendation.
- Prepares and conducts technical presentations to clients and during exhibitions.
- Conducts internal audit and participates in third-party quality audits for certification and accreditation.
- Performs root-cause analysis of Non-conformance in processes and implements corrective actions.
- Maintains and monitors laboratory equipment calibration and verification records as well as overall laboratory upkeep.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Chemistry, Food Technology, Nutrition and Chemical Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
With at least five (5) years research and development work experience in food industry
At least three (3) years experience in a supervisory role
Experience in technical sales, customer presentations, or application support is a strong advantage
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to perform a variety of specialized activities related to R & D functions including product development, formulation of recipe and product application.
Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting technical information to clients.
