Accounting Supervisor

An Accounting Supervisor to oversee and supervise the daily financial operations of our retail business. The Accounting Supervisor will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the effective management of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger management, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the company’s financial health.
• Support and coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and audits run smoothly.
• Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and controls to improve financial efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and forecasts, and support financial planning processes to align with company objectives.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide leadership to accounting staff, ensuring their professional development and efficient performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, local, state, and federal reporting requirements, and assist with timely tax filings.
• Work closely with other departments to support business goals and provide financial insights and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in accounting management or supervisory roles, preferably within the retail industry.
• Excellent in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and guide accounting staff.
