Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Mechanical Engineer
What are the Roles and Responsibilities- Designs construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models.
- Prepares engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data.
- Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
- Prepares feasibility study by analyzing engineering design; conducting environmental impact studies; assembling data.
- Prepare engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules.
- Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress; inspecting construction site; verifying calculations and placements, performing materials testing to determine adequacy and strength of materials-concrete, asphalt, steel.
- Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Must also be certain to follow land use laws and regulations every step of the way. This is extremely important as one who does not abide by such rules and regulations may find that the project is stalled, either temporarily or permanently. Therefore, a specific duty of a civil engineer is to know the pertinent land use laws and regulations and to follow them consistently.
- Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering data; completing backups.
- Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain safe and clean environment by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations
- Perform other related functions which will be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time
- Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PRC) is required / preferred
- With at least 1–3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, plant operations, or related industry
- AutoCAD and/or other engineering design software
- Willing to work in Bagong Ilog Pasig City
