Inventory Auditor
About the role
As an Inventory Auditor at Alberto Shoes Corporation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. This full-time position is based in Cubao, Quezon City, Metro Manila, and will be responsible for conducting regular audits, reconciling stock levels, and identifying any discrepancies or inefficiencies within our supply chain.Your work will be vital in supporting the overall operations and profitability of our manufacturing and logistics business.
What you'll be doing:
Store & Operational Audits- Conduct regular audits for retail stores to ensure compliance with SOPs
- Audit inventory movements, shrinkage risks, and physical count results
- Review cash handling, POS transactions, discounts, returns, and promo applications
- Identify risks, potential fraud, and operational inefficiencies
- Perform reconciliation of store sales (POS vs. system vs. GL)
- Validate trade (inventory, sales) & non-trade (expenses, supplier payments) accounts
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrections with Accounting/Operations
- Assist in developing and updating audit policies and control measures
- Conduct root-cause analysis and support troubleshooting of system/process gaps
- Coordinate with IT and Operations for improvements to POS and inventory systems
- Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations
- Track status of audit findings and ensure timely implementation
- Maintain audit documentation and compliance with standards
- Participate in validation and audit activities for any company events such as, but not limited to, warehouse sales, promo activations, pop-up stores, and special retail activities
- Conduct surprise audits (cash count, inventory spot checks)
- Support new store openings audit readiness and control setup
- Assist in system testing (UAT) for POS or ERP enhancements and new modules
- Monitor compliance of third-party service providers (logistics, warehouse)
- Help in staff training on SOP and control improvement
- Assist in investigations involving shortages, fraud indicators, and customer complaints
- Support year-end audit requirements (external and internal)
- Provide data analysis on sales trends, variance trends, and shrinkage patterns
- Maintain audit tools, checklists, and knowledge base repository
- Coordinate closure of audit observations with respective departments
- Perform administrative tasks related to audit planning & scheduling
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
- Knowledge in retail operations, inventory audits & reconciliations
- Advantage: experience with SAP/ERP and POS system audits
- Excellent analytical, attention to detail & communication skills
- Willing to travel to branches and perform field audit.
