Accounting supervisor

Job Description

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Supervise Account Department staff, including Accountants, Accounting Clerks, and Bookkeepers
• Evaluate accounting software on company needs
• Process company financial data and run last reconciliations
• Produce financial statements and reports
• Assign projects between accounting staff members
• Maintain chain of command throughout department
• Set schedule for accounting department projects
• Ensure accuracy throughout the financial record
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Qualifications/Requirements

• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise
