What you'll be doing
- Prepare material quantity estimates and cost breakdowns for construction projects
- Negotiate and manage procurement contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and on-time delivery
- Monitor and control project budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying potential cost savings
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to project managers and leadership
- Collaborate with the construction team to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Contribute to the development of our estimating tools and processes
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical or a related field
- With experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting
- Familiarity with construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Proficient in using relevant software tools, such as spreadsheets and estimating software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
