Role Overview

  • As a US Cost Segregation Project Engineer, you’ll help transform complex property data into strategic tax-saving insights for commercial clients across the US. From reviewing architectural plans to building detailed engineering reports, your work will directly support financial decisions with real business impact.
  • This is a role for someone who enjoys digging into details, organizing information with precision, and working independently while staying closely connected with a collaborative remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual site visits and review property layouts.
  • Analyze architectural plans, service dates, cost bases, and asset details.
  • Prepare Excel-based asset spreadsheets and engineering reports in Word.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal sales teams regarding project updates.
  • Upload project documents and manage report revisions.
  • Finalize and prepare client-ready PDF reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Organize and analyze large sets of building and asset data.
  • Support project delivery timelines while maintaining accuracy.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications (Must-Have Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in commercial real estate, construction, or property assessments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have Qualifications):

  • Experience supporting cost segregation studies or similar engineering assessments.
  • Background in technical report writing or property documentation.
  • Familiarity with structured project workflows and document management processes.
