Job Summary:

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the complete warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, transportation coordination, and delivery execution. The role ensures efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers while maintaining inventory accuracy, cost efficiency, safety compliance, and excellent service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
  • Ensure proper warehouse layout, space utilization, and product organization.
  • Develop and implement warehouse procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment, facilities, and maintenance requirements.
Inventory Management
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Monitor stock levels, inventory movement, and product availability.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, shortages, and variances.
  • Ensure proper product handling, labeling, and storage practices.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and obsolescence.
Logistics Operations
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics activities.
  • Manage delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments for smooth movement of goods.
  • Arrange transportation requirements, including truck scheduling, route planning, and delivery assignments.
  • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Ensure proper loading, unloading, and handling of goods during transport.
  • Track delivery status and address delays, issues, or customer concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with delivery requirements, documentation, and customer service standards.
  • Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers and evaluate their performance.
  • Ensure proper documentation of delivery receipts, invoices, shipment records, and other logistics documents.
Team Leadership and Supervision
  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and logistics personnel, including warehouse staff, drivers, helpers, and coordinators.
  • Assign work schedules, monitor attendance, and evaluate team performance.
  • Conduct coaching and training to improve productivity and work quality.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and compliance with company policies.
Fleet and Transportation Management
  • Monitor company vehicles, delivery trucks, and transportation resources.
  • Ensure proper vehicle scheduling, maintenance coordination, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and transportation expenses.
  • Ensure drivers comply with safety policies and delivery procedures.
Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine occupational safety and health standards.
  • Implement warehouse and logistics safety programs.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling procedures.
  • Report and investigate workplace incidents and corrective actions.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
  • Prepare warehouse and logistics performance reports.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, including:
  • Inventory accuracy
  • Order fulfillment accuracy
  • On-time delivery performance
  • Transportation cost efficiency
  • Warehouse productivity
  • Delivery success rate
  • Damages and losses
  • Safety compliance
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations, with supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management, transportation planning, inventory control, and distribution processes.
  • Experience handling drivers, delivery operations, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems and inventory management tools.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Philippine logistics practices, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Willing to work extended hours when required by operational needs.
