Crewing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Crew Recruitment and Staffing:

• Manage the recruitment and selection process for crew members, ensuring that personnel are qualified and meet industry standards.
• Coordinate with recruitment agencies and internal departments to identify staffing needs.
• Develop and maintain a pool of qualified candidates for future assignments.

Crew Scheduling and Deployment:

• Create and manage crew rosters to ensure that vessels or aircraft are appropriately staffed.
• Ensure timely deployment of crew members to various locations, maintaining operational efficiency.
• Manage crew rotations, leave schedules, and on/off assignments.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with national and international maritime/aviation regulations, such as STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) or FAA requirements.
• Oversee the maintenance and update of crew certifications, medical records, and other relevant documents.
• Keep accurate records of crew performance, attendance, and certifications.

Training and Development:

• Coordinate and track mandatory crew training programs and professional development to ensure that personnel are fully qualified and up-to-date with their certifications.
• Organize refresher training for crew to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Health, Safety, and Welfare:

• Monitor and address the welfare of crew members, including addressing any concerns related to health, safety, or living conditions on board.
• Ensure all crew members are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.

Budgeting and Cost Management:

• Assist in managing crew-related budgets, ensuring cost-effective staffing and operational efficiency.
• Monitor overtime, travel costs, and crew-related expenses.
