Business Development Manager

About the role

Business Development Manager in the Project Development department, reporting to the Project Development Director. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and developing new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, hydro, and hybrid projects.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector (e.g., solar, wind, hydro, or hybrid projects)
• Lead market entry strategies, feasibility assessments, and commercial evaluations for new projects
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, government agencies, utilities, EPC contractors, and other stakeholders
• Manage end-to-end business development activities, including project origination, bid preparation, contract negotiation, and deal closure
• Coordinate closely with internal teams (technical, finance, legal, and operations) to ensure commercially viable and bankable projects
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to identify risks and opportunities
• Prepare and present business proposals, investment papers, and management reports to senior leadership
• Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Business Development
• At least 5 years of experience within the Renewable Energy sector
• Solid understanding of renewable energy project development, commercial models, and regulatory frameworks
• Proven track record in project origination, deal structuring, and closing renewable energy projects
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Experience working with international partners, investors, or cross-border projects is highly desirable
