Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts payable transactions in compliance with our financial policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing Accounts and Incoming Payments: Ensure all incoming payments are processed accurately and in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Day-to-Day Financial Transactions: Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Preparing Bills, Invoices, and Bank Deposits: Prepare and manage bills, invoices, and bank deposits efficiently.
• Processing Outgoing Payments: Handle outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Discrepancy Verification: Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Invoice Facilitation: Facilitate the payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
• Reporting: Generate detailed reports on the status of accounts payables.
• Expense Accounts and Cost Centers: Understand and manage expense accounts and cost centers.
• Petty Cash Reimbursement: Responsible for the reimbursement of petty cash for each department.
• Liquidation and Cash Advance: Manage liquidation and cash advance processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounts payable principles.
• Technical Skills: In-depth experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Financial Acumen: Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data Entry: Strong data entry skills with a knack for numbers.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proficiency in MS Office.
• Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Education: Graduate of BS degree in accounting or financial management.
