Welding Inspector
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds on pipelines, structural steel, pressure vessels, and other critical components.
(2) Verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) in accordance with Industry standards (e.g. ASME, API 1104, AWS D1.1).
(3) Ensure welders are properly qualified and certified for assigned tasks.
(4) Monitor welding operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
(5) Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), or dye penetrant (PT) testing. Witness piping Air blowing, cleaning and restoration works after pressure test.
(6) Maintain detailed inspection records, weld maps, and daily reports.
(7) Identify and document non-conformances and assist in corrective action implementation.
(8) Liaise with construction teams, engineering, and client representatives to resolve welding-related issues.
(9) Participate in pre-weld meetings, site audits, and quality reviews.
(10) Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations during inspection activities.
