Job Description:

The Architectural Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed drawings for both architectural and structural projects. This role supports the design and construction teams by producing plans, layouts, and models that align with project specifications, engineering requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed architectural and structural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Develop both 2D drawings and 3D models for design presentation and construction use.
• Interpret and translate architectural and structural plans, specifications, and technical requirements into accurate drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure drawings are complete, consistent, and aligned with project objectives.
• Revise and update drawings based on site conditions, design changes, and client or management feedback.
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
• Assist in resolving design and drafting issues during project execution.
• Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and project files.
• Support project coordination between architectural and structural disciplines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3-5years of experience in architectural drafting, preferably with exposure to both structural and architectural works.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit; strong skills in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of construction detailing for both architectural and structural components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; able to work with minimal supervision.
