Senior Network Engineer – Global Infrastructure (Philippines)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in designing, operating, and optimizing large-scale enterprise network infrastructure supporting global business operations.
This role requires a highly capable engineer who can independently manage complex, multi-site network environments and take ownership of end-to-end network architecture, performance, and reliability.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in enterprise or ISP-grade networks, with strong hands-on capability in advanced routing, firewall management, and large-scale network troubleshooting.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of global network infrastructure while contributing to continuous improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.

- Strong experience in network infrastructure design and architecture
- Ability to independently support and troubleshoot global enterprise network environments
- Background in:
- ISP core network operations, or
- Large-scale enterprise data center environments
- Strong hands-on CLI experience in:
- BGP traffic engineering (configuration and troubleshooting)
- Multi-area OSPF design and operations
- Cisco Firepower firewall policy configuration and management
- Enterprise Network Infrastructure (80%)
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure enterprise network architecture
- Take ownership of complex network troubleshooting across global environments
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure scaling initiatives
- Evaluate and define technical requirements for network-related procurement
- Research and recommend modern networking technologies and architecture improvements
- Drive upgrades and enhancements of existing network systems
- Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Support integration of systems across multiple network environments
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise networks
- Network Security & Resilience (20%)
- Monitor security logs and proactively identify threats and vulnerabilities
- Design and implement mitigation strategies for network security incidents
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of critical incidents
- Recommend preventive controls and network hardening measures
- Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) development and testing
- Evaluate disaster recovery and BCP drill results and recommend improvements
- Assist in security compliance audits and documentation
- Ensure adherence to enterprise security and governance standards
Qualifications
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- CCNA required
- CCNP or higher strongly preferred
- Minimum 4 years of IT experience
- At least 2+ years of hands-on networking experience
- Proven experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting medium to large-scale enterprise networks (750+ nodes preferred)
- Strong advantage if experienced in:
- ISP core network environments
- Large enterprise data centers
- Multinational/global network operations
Technical Expertise
Core Networking- Deep knowledge of enterprise networking: routers, switches, firewalls, LAN/WAN, data centers
- Strong expertise in:
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, UDP, QoS, latency management
- BGP (including traffic engineering)
- OSPF (multi-area design and troubleshooting)
- MPLS and advanced routing concepts
- VPN technologies (IPSec, GRE)
- ACLs and access control mechanisms
- IDS/IPS concepts
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower firewall policy configuration and troubleshooting
- Network security monitoring and incident response experience
- Windows Server (basic to intermediate)
- Cisco IOS / ASA / switching environments (advanced)
- Huawei networking systems (advanced)
- Linux (Ubuntu preferred – basic administration)
- Strong analytical thinking and structured troubleshooting approach
- Ability to work independently in complex, high-pressure environments
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to document technical solutions and network architecture clearly
- Fast learner with adaptability to new technologies
- Experience leading or delivering at least one 6-month+ technical project
- ISP backbone/core network experience
- Data center-scale infrastructure exposure
- Experience in network automation and scripting
