Vessel IT Manager - Muntinlupa

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Comprehensive Vessel IT Oversight: Oversee the entire lifecycle of vessel IT operations, from initial onboarding to final handover, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
• Operational Standardization: Maintain and elevate the operational standards of IT systems onboard each vessel, continuously assessing performance, reliability, and security.
• Dynamic Responsibilities: Embrace a flexible job scope, recognizing that the role may evolve as business needs change. New responsibilities may be assigned, and existing ones may be refined with appropriate notice.
• Budgeting: Take charge of vessel IT budgeting processes, including annual planning, cost analysis, and ongoing expenditure tracking.
• Project Initiation and Direction: Set priorities, launch new projects, and issue directives pertaining to vessel information systems and services, driving the advancement of IT capabilities onboard.
• Project Coordination and Data Integrity: Oversee and coordinate all stages of project development, ensuring the integrity and security of company databases utilized aboard vessels.
• Project Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate IT projects for feasibility and effectiveness, overseeing their implementation to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Day-to-Day Operations Management: Serve as the overall overseer of daily vessel IT operations, including systems security, connectivity, and maintenance. Address and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Flexible Duties: Remain adaptable to evolving job requirements, acknowledging that the role is not exhaustive and may change with notice as business priorities shift.

• Bachelor's Degree Graduate
• 10 to 20 years of applicable work experience in IT operations or related maritime IT roles.
• Proven skills in sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with hardware/software vendors and service providers.
• Experience working cross-functionally and communicating with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on aligning IT initiatives with business objectives.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop technical teams in dynamic, mission-critical environments.
• Capacity to design and implement long-term strategies that support and enhance vessel business activities.
• Extensive experience liaising and negotiating with hardware/software vendors, external consultants, and internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives and foster collaborative partnerships.
