About the role
Excel Coil Coating Corp. is seeking a Safety Officer to join our team on a project-based full-time basis in Pasig City, Metro Manila. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and contractors at our project site.Your primary focus will be to implement and monitor safety policies and procedures, identify and mitigate potential hazards, and promote a strong safety culture across the organisation.
What you'll be doing- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and address safety issues
- Develop, implement, and update safety plans and procedures to comply with relevant health and safety regulations
- Provide training and support to employees and contractors on safety best practices
- Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with government authorities and other stakeholders on safety-related matters
- Maintain detailed records and reports on safety performance and initiatives
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve safety standards and practices
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to assess and identify safety issues using HIRAC
- With training and certification related to Working At Heights, desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with personnel at all levels
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate safety risks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in report writing and data analysis
