Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic digital marketing agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients seeking digital marketing solutions, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth for our agency.This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills, coupled with a solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential clients, target markets, and new business opportunities specifically within industries that can benefit from digital marketing services (e.g., e-commerce, local businesses, B2B, etc.).
- Generate new leads and cold call prospective clients to introduce our agency's digital marketing services (SEO, SEM, Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, Web Design, Email Marketing, etc.).
- Qualify leads to determine their digital marketing needs, budget, and alignment with our agency's expertise.
- Sales & Relationship Management:
- Initiate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within target organizations, understanding their business challenges and digital marketing objectives.
- Conduct compelling presentations and propose tailored digital marketing strategies and solutions to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals for digital marketing projects and retainers, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of digital marketing opportunities and accurately forecast sales.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., SEO specialists, content creators, web developers, project managers) to ensure seamless client onboarding and successful campaign delivery.
- Strategy & Reporting:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans focused on acquiring new digital marketing clients and achieving sales targets.
- Monitor digital marketing industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to identify new service offerings and growth areas for the agency.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts specific to digital marketing projects.
- Contribute to the overall sales strategy and participate in team meetings, offering insights on market demands for digital services.
- Client Retention & Growth:
- Work to deeply understand existing client needs and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional digital marketing services.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships, becoming a trusted advisor in their digital growth.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar client-facing role, preferably within a digital marketing agency or selling digital services.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a service-oriented environment.
- Strong understanding of various digital marketing channels and strategies (SEO, SEM, Social Media, Content Marketing, Web Analytics, etc.).
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex digital marketing concepts clearly.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, particularly in a consultative sales environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying client pain points and proposing effective digital solutions.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
