Encoder

• Encode and update YAKAP Facility patient and healthcare provider data into designated databases or information systems.
• Process and encode medical clinic, laboratory, and X-ray data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review source documents for completeness, consistency, and correctness before data entry.
• Verify encoded data against original records and correct errors as needed.
• Maintain organized digital and/or physical records in accordance with data management standards.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of patient and healthcare information at all times.
• Follow established data entry procedures, formats, and quality control guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervisors or relevant staff to clarify incomplete or unclear data.
• Meet daily or periodic data entry targets while maintaining accuracy.

• At least a high school graduate; vocational training or college-level education is an advantage.
• Prior experience in data encoding or administrative work is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply as no prior experience is required for this position.
• Familiarity with medical or healthcare data is an advantage but not required.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of computer applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, data systems)
• Proficiency in any basic computer applications is acceptable, with specific training provided as needed.
• Good typing speed and data entry skills
• Minimum typing speed of 55+ words per minute required
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision

• Office-based or remote setting, depending on organizational requirements
• May involve extended periods of computer-based work
