PAYROLL OFFICER
Brief Description and Purpose of the Position
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves managing payroll records, government remittances, and various payroll-related tasks to support the organization's financial operations.
Competencies
Payroll Processing- Process payroll twice a month using HRIS system for all companies
- Set up pay out scheduling through online banking.
- Update deductions related to payroll
- Accurate withholding tax computation
- Process and release of branch incentives, workloads, and other allowances every month end.
- Compute and process the leave conversion and 13 th month pay and other special payroll processing
- Process of terminal pay/final pay for all separated employees.
- Process payment to Cooperative, Canteen Concessionaire and other service providers
- Timely processing of death assistance to employee
- Prepare payroll reports/entries and submit them to accounting department in a timely manner
- Timely submission of BIR alpha list and other BIR reports
- Process monthly government remittance/payments (SSS, PHIC, HDMF & BIR)
- Analyze payroll trends and historical data
- Reconcile alphalist versus data records
- Prepare payroll related variance analysis
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee’s payroll queries.
- Secure confidential information of data
- Coordinate with HR partners and other departments for timely processing
Qualification Standards
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, BA in Human Resources Management or related field
- Professional: At least 3 years of solid work experience in Payroll Processing
- Leadership: none
- Regulatory Updates Training
- Certification Course in Payroll and Timekeeping is an advantage
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Intermediate knowledge in MS Office Tools
- Knowledgeable with Regulatory (SSS, PHIC, HDMF and BIR withholding tax on compensation) Rules and Regulations
- Strong analytical skills
