IT Specialist - Manila
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in BGC Taguig.
As an IT Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing efficient and effective IT support to our internal company requirement and ensuring that technology needs are met and resolved in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hardware Setup and Configuration:
Proficiency in installing configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware such as desktops, laptops, camera, biometric device, servers, printers, scanners, and networking equipment. Setting up of CCTV Systems, including cameras, monitors and recording devices.
Software Installation and Configuration:
Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), applications, and software updates.
Configuring systems to meet the specific needs of the company, including setting up network connections and ensuring proper coverage.
Installing and updating software and hardware drivers as needed.
Changing settings and permissions to fix issues and optimize performance
Computer Repair & Network Troubleshooting:
Understanding of network protocols, troubleshooting network connectivity issues as well as Computer Repair.
Security Awareness:
Knowledge security measures to protect data and systems.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
A systematic approach to identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues. This involves gathering information, analyzing symptoms, testing potential solutions, and documenting the resolution process.
Resolving IT Support Requests:
Addressing and resolving technical issues reported by Employees
Maintenance:
Performing regular checks and maintenance to ensure systems are functioning properly.
Documentation:
Keeping detailed records of installation, maintenance and repairs.
Upgrades:
Recommending and implementing system upgrades to improve performance and security.
Compliance:
Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and security standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years Practical experience in IT roles, including technical support, computer repair, network administration, or system administration, is highly valued.
- A strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications is essential.
- Familiarity with network protocols, topologies, and troubleshooting techniques is crucial.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively is a key skill.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools is increasingly important.
- Proficiency in programming languages can be beneficial, depending on the specific IT specialist role.
- Good knowledge about MacOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Familiarization on Technical Terminologies
- Knows to fix SOFTWARE,HARDWARE, CONNECTION,INTERNET, WIFI ,EMAIL,PRINTER, AND CCTV CAMERA
- At least 2 to 3 years Knowledge and Expertise on Linux System
