Senior Accountant

Position Overview: Senior Accountant will work closely with the senior management team to support and influence financial decisions and driving the business forward. This role involves a combination of strategic analysis and financial management, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and ensure sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliation of general ledgers.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing process and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Prepare, monitor and manage cashflow.
• Maintain fixed assets register
• Reconciliation of inter-company transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdiction
• Support management in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Assist with banking facilities, insurance, trade facilities and bonding requirement.
• Maintain and strengthen internal control policies and financial procedures
• Oversee projects accounting, including cost tracking, work-in-progress and profitability analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in construction and project-based industries is preferred
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in financial software (XERO preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
