Teresa - Security Manager
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Security Manager to lead our security operations, oversee third-party agencies, and ensure the safety of our people, properties, and assets.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enforcing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, managing a team of in-house personnel and external agencies, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. You’ll also play a key role in coordinating with law enforcement, responding to incidents, and maintaining emergency preparedness across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations & Risk Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to minimize security threats.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access controls.
- Investigate security incidents and take appropriate action.
- Maintain up-to-date emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
Management of Security Personnel & External Agencies:
- Supervise in-house security staff, ensuring adherence to security protocols.
- Oversee third-party security agencies, ensuring they fulfill their contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of security agency personnel.
- Coordinate with security agencies to deploy personnel effectively based on operational needs.
- Ensure caretakers and support staff maintain property security and safety standards.
Guest, Staff, and Asset Protection:
- Ensure the safety of guests, employees, and visitors at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of company properties to assess security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Travel to various company sites to inspect security conditions and enforce safety protocols.
- Handle disputes, disturbances, and emergency situations professionally.
- Work closely with management to address security and safety concerns.
Compliance, Reporting & Coordination:
- Ensure compliance with local laws, industry security standards, and company policies.
- Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and security measures.
- Prepare and submit security reports to management.
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory authorities when required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Manager or in a similar role.
- Background in law enforcement, military, or corporate security is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, risk assessment, and crisis management.
- Experience in managing third-party security agencies and caretakers.
- Willingness to travel long distances to inspect company assets as needed.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in security systems and surveillance technology.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- First aid and emergency response training.
