Accounting Superintendent

The Accounting Superintendent is primarily responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s accounting books, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Reporting to the Assistant Accounting Manager, this role oversees key general ledger activities, including asset management, intercompany entries, tax postings, and closing processes. The position also supports the Assistant Accounting Manager in building financial analyses that aid in the preparation of reports for the Finance Director and Finance Manager.
Responsibilities- Perform and review bank reconciliations and ensure timely clearing of cash-related transactions in SAP system.
- Oversee asset settlement processes, including capitalization, transfer, and retirement of fixed assets.
- Monitor and execute clearing of general ledger balances to maintain accuracy and integrity of accounts.
- Supervise customer payment clearing, particularly for cash transactions, ensuring proper application and documentation.
- Handle manual invoice postings during month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and validate intercompany and intracompany journal entries, ensuring alignment across entities.
- Post and reconcile tax-related entries, including VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Has General Ledger Accounting skills
- Proficient in SAP and ERP system navigation (GL, AP, and Asset Accounting)
- Strong organizational and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Has an understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss), bank reconciliation, amortization schedules, and accrual monitoring
- Has advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient in compliance with accounting standards
