The Key Account Manager (KAM) is a quota carrying senior sales position principally responsible for generating new sales and growing Schneider's footprint in a particular industry / segment. The primary objective is to build and establish strong and lasting relationships across different levels within the account up to the C-Suite.
The Key Account Manager is expected to identify, qualify and help close opportunities and projects highlighting the value of Schneider solutions to address customer requirements. The KAM is responsible for creating and executing a sales strategy to increase Schneider market share across all SE offers in the segment/industry assigned.
He/she is tasked to coordinate with internal cross BU SE resources and help manage deployment and implementation of projects and solutions as the single SE point of contact to key clients. This person will need to demonstrate a real understanding of the SE business approach and have utilize a strong knowledge of Schneider Electric offers and organization and align this to ensuring customer success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Secure and manage a strong opportunity pipeline, meeting the sales target.Maintain, develop and leverage relationships with C-level management, IT and Facility management and other key decision makers or influencers within the selected accounts.Build and maintain strong relationships with the largest value customers within the focus segments, focusing on developing and nurturing accounts with high value, including renewal, up-sell and cross-sell.Establish and execute strategic account plans by targeted account in line with company strategy and customer / segment requirements.Engage and manage internal BU teams aligned to the creation / progression / closing of strategic opportunities to provide unique value to clients.Leverage channel partners as another route to offer the right solution for client needs.Build relationships with key decision makers, including C-level, soliciting information and overcoming objections.Diligent sales forecasting with the use of reporting tools (Salesforce) to provide accurate sales progression information

Qualifications

Experience with required education
  • 10-15 years of related experience.Experience in Cloud and service provider segment (Telco, Data Center) and Banking segmentExperience in prescription within said segment.Preferable prior experience of Sales within the IT environment, account managing large and high profile customers on the Specific segments.
SKILLS: Background in solution sales / Project sales / Consultative SellingInfluencing and developing relationships with senior decision makers (C-level)Developing and executing strategic account plansManaging the entire sales process, particularly customer acquisition, development and retentionEngaging and working with a large and complex customer buying center.Selling into complex organizational structures, including multiple-level sellingCreating and delivering presentations to C-level audiencesProviding and maintaining clear and accurate sales forecastHandling multiple priorities effectivelyDocumented skills in negotiating and influencing within complex opportunitiesGood knowledge by prior experience in C&SP and Banking segmentsData Center Solution-base selling experienceData Center Electrical solutions selling experience
