The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the company's facilities and ensuring that all operational activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in alignment with organizational goals. This role provides strategic direction to the operations team, oversees facility maintenance and improvement initiatives, manages project planning and proposals, and ensures the effective utilization of resources to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management- Oversee the overall operations of the company's facilities to ensure efficiency, functionality, and safety.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure facilities are properly maintained and operational to support ongoing business and construction activities.
- Monitor operational performance and recommend continuous improvements.
- Develop short-term and long-term operational plans aligned with the company's objectives.
- Lead operational planning initiatives, including facility improvements, process optimization, and resource allocation.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare operational reports and present recommendations to senior management.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the Facilities Operations team.
- Assign responsibilities, monitor productivity, and evaluate team performance.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Conduct regular meetings to review operational priorities and performance.
- Prepare and review operational proposals, project plans, budgets, and implementation schedules.
- Collaborate with internal departments in planning facility-related projects and operational improvements.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and consultants when necessary.
- Ensure project timelines and operational commitments are achieved.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Monitor the condition of buildings, equipment, utilities, and company assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, environmental regulations, and occupational safety standards.
- Recommend facility upgrades and capital improvement projects.
- Prepare and manage the operations budget.
- Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and corrective actions as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in facilities management, construction operations, or operations management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in strategic planning and operational management.
- Knowledge of facility maintenance, construction processes, and project management.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with project management software is an advantage.
