Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for Mechanical Engineers who are passionate about sustainable engineering and ready to build innovative systems from scratch. As a core part of our engineering team in a startup waste management company, you’ll be hands-on in the design, fabrication, assembly, and improvement of waste processing equipment and mechanical systems.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in a dynamic environment, can work independently, and want to make a real impact by developing systems that support circular economy and sustainability goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the design, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical components and systems used in waste management.
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints to guide fabrication and installation.
• Work closely with suppliers, fabricators, and in-house teams to source materials and oversee fabrication timelines.
• Conduct equipment testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Participate in the development of new systems and technologies to process waste more efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Licensed Mechanical Engineer)
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and fabrication (new grads with strong fabrication/project experience also welcome)
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Experience in fabrication, welding processes, material selection, and mechanical assembly
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced, and evolving startup environment
