Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

The Quantity Surveyor / Estimator is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes estimating project costs, preparing tender documents, and ensuring that budgets are adhered to during the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural, structural, and engineering plans.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns, and tender documents.
• Monitor project budgets and track expenses to ensure alignment with estimates.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to gather pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, variations, and compliance with budget.
• Provide support in contract administration, including change orders and claims.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular cost reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or estimating.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimating software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, CostX).
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
