Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative with a strong background in the steel or construction industry to drive business growth by acquiring new clients, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and achieving sales targets.

The ideal candidate should have a proven sales track record, industry knowledge, and preferably an existing network of contacts, including project engineers, contractors, and procurement managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the steel/construction sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including contractors, builders, project engineers, and procurement teams.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable steel/construction products (e.g., structural steel, rebars, roofing sheets, prefab materials).
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, production, customer service) to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to expand business connections.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the steel, construction, or related industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Existing contacts with project engineers, contractors, or procurement managers (a big plus).
  • Knowledge of steel products, construction materials, and industry standards.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings as needed.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in B2B sales with a focus on steel fabrication, construction supplies, or industrial products.
