Scope of Work / Job Description of COMPANY DRIVER
Transport Operations: Ensure the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of personnel, company assets, goods, and materials, in accordance with organizational requirements and client expectations.
Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checks on oil levels, tire pressure, brake function, fluid levels, lights, and other critical systems to guarantee roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
Vehicle Cleanliness & Presentation: Maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and professional appearance of the assigned vehicle at all times.
Regulatory Compliance & Defensive Driving: Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies, employing defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
Route Planning & Optimization: Analyze routes and traffic conditions to determine the most efficient travel paths. Utilize navigation tools and real-time data to ensure punctual arrivals and departures.
Operational Coordination: Liaise with relevant departments to align transport schedules with logistical needs, including deliveries, pickups, and staff mobilization.
Trip Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, travel routes, and maintenance activities. Submit regular reports in compliance with internal documentation standards.
Material Handling Support: Assist in the loading, securing, and unloading of goods or materials, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed to avoid damage or loss.
Client & Passenger Service: Deliver professional, courteous, and respectful service to passengers and clients during all transport activities, upholding the company’s service standards.
Policy & Protocol Adherence: Remain up-to-date on traffic regulations, vehicle registration and licensing requirements, and internal transport policies and procedures.
Confidentiality & Security: Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of documents, parcels, or materials transported, especially when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to vehicle malfunctions, road incidents, or emergencies to ensure the safety of passengers, goods, and self.
Issue Escalation & Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors or operations teams regarding any transport delays, vehicle issues, or route concerns.
Additional Support Functions: Perform related duties as assigned to support logistics, field operations, or company-wide mobility requirements.
