As Purchasing Staff, you will be responsible in
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and processing purchase requisition.
  • Sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services as per the organization’s requirements.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best price deals, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintaining a strong relationship with existing suppliers and identifying/sourcing potential new suppliers.
  • Performing inventory inspections and replenishing supplies and stocks as necessary.
  • Tracking orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, orders, and receiving stock.
  • Maintaining proper records of purchase orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Ensuring all orders meet company standards and specifications.
  • Coordinating and following orders from suppliers.
  • Ensuring that spending is within the allocated budget. (Payment to be requested and forwarded to the accounting department.)
  • Making recommendations for cost savings opportunities.
  • Coordinating with other departments (e.g., accounting, operations, and other departments) to understand their purchasing needs.
  • Monitoring/assisting clerks in other concerns.
  • Other duties/tasks to be assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any business course, logistics, supply chain management, or any related field.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or related roles is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including spreadsheets, etc.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
