Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure and Linux Systems Support)

Overall Purpose of the Job:

You will be involved in Global technical project work and support the mergers and acquisition team; you will also be responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of the infrastructure environment on a BUA basis. The role may involve global travel to support and deploy group solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• You will be tasked with day-to-day support and troubleshooting of issues within the company's infrastructure services ensuring you, work within agreed SLA's within an ITIL environment.
• You will be involved in a variety of Infrastructure projects spanning from day-to-day operational improvements to new service delivery solutions.
• As part of the Groups plans for growth, we are undertaking several mergers and acquisitions; you will be an integral part of this process including design to deployment.
• Work with a variety of senior stakeholders to represent the infrastructure function at Group level, contributing to overall IT strategy.
• Providing 3rd / 4th line technical support across the IT Infrastructure environment including network and cloud technologies.
• Provide full documentation for all projects and deployments where involved.

Key Qualifications:

• Networking support with experience in Cisco and FortiGate essential.
• In-depth experience across a range of infrastructure platforms; passionate about technology and eager to develop their skillset.
• LAN switches, routers and firewall experience
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network related issues
• Azure networking experience essential
• Kubernetes experience in Azure essential and AWS and Google desirable
• IP phone network experience mainly Teams routing via local SBC
• Security experience in protecting networks is essential.
• Solid Experience with supporting Server infrastructure both on premise and cloud based (multi hosted), Windows and Linux.
• PowerShell / scripting skills are essential.
• Experience supporting VM environments essential.
• Experience in design / deployment and support of network monitoring is essential.
• Experience of working with a variety of senior stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Network Design / Architecture experience would be desirable
• Implementing automation around Network and infrastructure support is desirable.
• HP 3Par administration and SAN technologies administration is desirable.
• Mimecast or similar email perimeter protection experience is desirable.
• Experience in deployment and support of both hosted and cloud based AI architecture
