Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Informs the team of equipment and service requirements of stakeholders.
- Assigns AV Assistants in his/her zone to serve requesting stakeholders.
- Leads the team in arranging AV rooms/equipment and delivering services.
- Reports team attendance and facilities needing repair to the Section Head.
- Recommends ways to improve AV services and capabilities.
- Regulates the use of assigned lecture halls, AV rooms, auditorium, classrooms, seminar rooms, and equipment.
- Prepares, sets up, and operates AV equipment based on stakeholder requests, including projectors, computers, sound systems, cameras, and lights.
- Checks rooms and equipment after office hours or overtime use.
- Resolves AV-related concerns within the assigned zone or delegates matters to AV Assistants.
- Administers AV equipment lending by checking forms, verifying online reservations, and recording details in the equipment logbook.
- Monitors the logbook and lists faculty/students with unreturned equipment or items nearing due dates, then forwards these to the Department or Office of Student Services for reminder issuance.
- Inspects equipment condition before and after lending.
- Checks and monitors time spent by AV Assistants on preventive maintenance.
- Instructs AV Assistants on repairing and cleaning AV equipment, as needed.
- Cleans and repairs equipment as part of preventive maintenance.
V. Performs other work-related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor or authorized representative.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge- Administrative: Knowledge of office procedures and systems such as word processing, file/record management, forms design, and workplace terminology, especially for equipment inventory.
- Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of customer service principles, needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation for handling stakeholder specifications.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance for AV equipment upkeep.
- Management of Material Resources: Ensures proper use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed for work and team lead functions.
- Time Management: Manages own time and the time of others.
- Coordination: Adjusts actions in relation to others, especially in working with stakeholders.
- Instructing: Teaches AV Assistants how to perform assigned tasks.
- Negotiation: Brings parties together and helps reconcile differences with stakeholders.
- Persuasion: Persuades others to change their minds or behavior when needed.
- Service Orientation: Actively looks for ways to help stakeholders.
- Social Perceptiveness: Understands others’ reactions and why they react as they do.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performs routine maintenance and determines when and what maintenance is needed.
- Equipment Selection: Determines the tools/equipment needed for AV setup based on specifications.
- Operation and Control: Controls the operation of AV equipment and systems.
- Repairing: Repairs AV equipment using appropriate tools.
- Troubleshooting: Determines causes of operating errors and decides what action to take.
- Lighting Setup: Operates, controls, sets up, and lays out lights based on specifications.
- Education and Experience Requirements:
- Completed course/training in Electronics and Computer System Servicing, preferably TESDA certified
- With at least 2 years of experience involving handling AV equipment, and electrical and computer systems troubleshooting
