Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in store repairs and maintenance, engineering, or store operations
  • Preferably with experience at the Assistant Manager or Manager level in a similar function
  • Strong knowledge and background in maintenance project management, cost monitoring, and contractor supervision
  • Experience in handling sustainability, energy efficiency, or innovation projects is an advantage
  • Proficient in preparing technical documents such as scope of work, tender materials, and engineering plans
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, especially when dealing with contractors, lessors, and mall administrators

Job Summary

The Store Repairs and Maintenance Assistant Manager will assist the Store Repairs and Maintenance Manager in delivering effective maintenance and engineering programs and providing timely support to Store Operations. The role also involves leading sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency efforts, and various innovation projects to support operational excellence and long-term cost management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing maintenance and engineering programs to support store operations
  • Conduct pre-engineering inspections for new and refit stores to support accurate and efficient bidding processes
  • Coordinate with Lessors and Mall Administrators regarding technical inquiries and requirements
  • Ensure timely contractor award and bidding processes in line with the defined timeline
  • Prepare tender materials, project plans, and scope of works for contractor reference
  • Draft MEPS blueprint plans and secure necessary permits prior to construction
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Track and ensure that contractors adhere to project timelines
  • Prepare historical and tabulated pricing data to support future planning and bidding
  • Draft and submit tender documents for review and approval
