JOB SUMMARY
The Management Information Systems (MIS) Lead is responsible for managing the company’s Management Information Systems (MIS), business reporting processes, and network infrastructure operations. The role ensures accurate and timely business information, secure and reliable network connectivity, efficient IT systems, and strong data protection to support organizational operations and decision-making.
This position combines business systems management, reporting and analytics, network administration, cybersecurity, technical support, and IT infrastructure management.
WORK ACTIVITIES
Information Systems Management & Network and IT- Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operations of the Management Information Systems department.
- Develop and implement MIS and IT policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Monitor the performance, availability, and security of information systems and databases.
- Ensure proper maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of company systems and network infrastructure.
- Analyze organizational information needs and recommend technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead initiatives to automate operational and reporting processes.
- Evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and telecommunications technologies to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Develop short-term and long-term MIS strategies and operational plans.
- Oversee information systems supporting telecommunications operations and Starlink reseller activities.
- Coordinate with technical, operations, sales, logistics, and customer support teams to ensure accurate and efficient information flow.
- Monitor systems related to subscriber management, installation scheduling, equipment inventory, customer activation, and service performance reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of organizational data.
- Supervise the preparation and distribution of management reports and operational dashboards.
- Analyze operational data and provide recommendations to management for business improvement.
- Establish reporting standards and data governance procedures.
- Oversee technical support services for employees and operational users.
- Ensure timely resolution of hardware, software, network, and systems-related concerns.
- Coordinate with external vendors, internet providers, and technology partners as necessary.
- Develop and enforce data security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Monitor system vulnerabilities and coordinate corrective actions when needed.
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate MIS and IT personnel.
- Assign work schedules, priorities, and responsibilities within the MIS team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development programs.
- Promote collaboration between MIS and other departments.
- Ensure accurate documentation of systems, procedures, maintenance activities, and technical standards.
- Monitor adherence to operational procedures and quality standards.
- Prepare management reports related to MIS performance and operational improvements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in MIS, IT management, systems administration, or telecommunications technology.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of Google Workspace Applications, Microsoft Office Applications, database management (SQL or similar), ERP systems, and network administration.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, ITIL, CISCO, or Microsoft Certified Solutions) are a significant plus.
- Experience in telecommunications, internet service providers, or satellite internet operations is highly preferred.
- Experience managing databases, reporting systems, cloud applications, and IT infrastructure is required.
- Knowledge of MIS principles and practices, systems analysis, database management, network administration, cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery procedures, project management, and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to lead and supervise technical personnel effectively, analyze operational needs, develop technology solutions, manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, communicate technical information to management and non-technical users, maintain confidentiality and integrity of organizational data, and work under pressure.
