Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, govern, and evolve the enterprise data architecture, playing a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting digital transformation initiatives within the banking sector.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain enterprise data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Define and implement data strategies, standards, and best practices aligned with business and technology objectives.
Architect scalable data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time data processing solutions.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
Establish and enforce data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
Design data integration frameworks and oversee data flows across core banking systems, digital channels, and third-party platforms.
Provide technical guidance to data engineering and development teams on data modeling, integration, and platform optimization.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the organization's data capabilities.
Support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives by ensuring the availability of reliable and well-structured data assets.
Create and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and roadmaps for enterprise data initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related data management roles.
Strong experience in designing enterprise data models and data integration architectures.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Hands-on experience with data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT frameworks, and cloud-based data platforms.
Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of data lifecycle management principles.
Familiarity with data governance, master data management, metadata management, and data quality practices.
Understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in highly regulated industries, preferably banking or financial services.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred QualificationsRelevant certifications in cloud, data architecture, or enterprise architecture.
Banking, fintech, or financial services industry experience.
Experience supporting enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and digital transformation initiatives.
Exposure to modern data architectures, real-time data streaming, and API-driven data integrations.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and data governance programs.
