Restaurant supervisor

Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including table management, customer service and staff coordination
- Train, supervise and motivate restaurant staff, including servers, hosts and kitchen support personnel
- Maintain high standards of service quality and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation and portion control
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints and concerns professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements and peak-time service flow
- Conduct regular staff briefings and communicate policies, procedures and updates
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation and cost control measures
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports and documentation
- Support the management team in achieving sales targets and maintaining budget compliance
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or similar supervisory role in the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including service standards and health and safety protocols
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure, particularly during busy service periods
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage handling and hygiene practices
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
