Solar Engineer
The Project Engineer (Solar) will support the end‑to‑end delivery of Merbau Corporation’s commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV projects, from design and feasibility through installation, performance monitoring, and optimization.
The role ensures compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and local regulations, while working closely with EPC contractors, customers, and internal teams to integrate solar solutions into building infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail‑oriented, and experienced in solar PV system design, performance analysis, and the use of solar simulation tools, with solid knowledge of electrical systems and Philippine power sector practices.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Professional Engineer license preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial, industrial, or utility‑scale solar PV projects.
- Hands‑on experience in solar PV system design, performance simulation (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope), and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, load calculations, equipment specifications, and grid interconnection requirements.
- Experience in project installation, commissioning, operations, and in preparing technical reports, design documents, and performance analyses.
- Exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is an advantage but not required.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Ortigas, Pasig City
