HR Generalist - Remote
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with strong knowledge of North American HR practices to support HR initiatives across recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and operations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment while delivering high-quality results, supporting the full employee lifecycle and helping build the processes that keep HR operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities- Support day-to-day HR operations in alignment with North American employment standards and best practices
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant tracking, screening coordination, and offer support
- Maintain and update HRIS, ATS, payroll, and benefits administration systems
- Create, document, and improve HR processes, SOPs, and internal workflows
- Prepare HR reports, track KPIs, and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders
- Support compliance requirements related to employment laws, policies, and internal procedures
- Work across multiple client or internal projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support HR initiatives and business needs
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist with exposure to North American HR practices
- Both US and Canadian employment law experience required
- Strong understanding of HR operations, recruitment, payroll, benefits, and compliance
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, ATS platforms, and HR documentation
- Experience creating SOPs, reports, and HR metrics (KPIs)
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- HR-related degree required
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Experience working across both US and Canadian payroll and benefits administration
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, BambooHR, or ADP
- Exposure to a startup, agency, or RPO/HRO environment
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent
- Experience supporting globally distributed or remote teams across time zones
- Self-starter with minimal need for supervision
- Comfortable handling multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Results-driven with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment

Working Conditions / Location
This role is fully remote, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm ET or PT. You will need a stable, high-speed internet connection, a reliable remote work setup including a working laptop or desktop computer (dual monitors preferred), and a backup plan for power or internet interruptions.
