Machinery mechanic (general)

Job Description

• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plant machinery and equipment during the shutdown period.
• Inspect, disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components such as pumps, motors, compressors, and conveyors.
• Assist in the replacement of worn-out or damaged mechanical parts, ensuring all components function properly.
• Perform diagnostic tests on mechanical systems to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure equipment is properly aligned and calibrated.
• Follow detailed work orders, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair processes.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Document completed repairs and maintenance tasks in the maintenance management system.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment for the next production cycle.
• Work efficiently to meet tight shutdown deadlines and minimize plant downtime.

• Preferably with NCII in Automotive Servicing.
• Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in industrial or plant settings.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledgeable in disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling machinery (e.g., motors, pumps, conveyors).
• Can read and interpret mechanical drawings or manuals.
• Physically fit and able to work in tight or elevated spaces.
• Familiar with safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime during plant shutdown.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in plant repair and maintenance

• Must have the required NC certificates
• Must have ON-HAND hard hat and Safety shoes
• With Complete SSS, Pag-ibig, TIN and PhilHealth number.
• With NSO/PSA
