Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Wheel Loader Operator is responsible and accountable for the safe and cost-efficient operations of the Pay Loader in the attainment of the production target.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct pre-start check-up / assessment of the unit before start of the engine.

Conduct post check-up / assessment of the unit after the shift.
Follow instruction of the immediate superior or superior in the working or mining areas.
Operate the equipment with utmost safety, care and cost-efficient manner.
Provide written report at the end of the shift.
Follow traffic and road signs.
Create and maintain inclines and ramps, and handle slides, mud, and pit cleanings and maintenance.
Adjust dig face angles for varying overburden depths and set lengths.

Perform related functions.

Qualifications/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: At least high school graduate.

Must have a 1238 license restriction code and NC2 for Heavy Equipment Operation (Wheel Loader).
At least one (1) year experience in heavy equipment operations.
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
