Job Description: Remote Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist

Location: 100% Remote (anywhere in the Philppines)

Role Overview

A forward-thinking accounting and advisory firm based in Ontario, serving SMEs and professionals across Canada is looking for a Remote Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist who is highly organized and tech-savvy. You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll within our cloud-based ecosystem, using TaxDome as our primary practice management and communication hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice Management (TaxDome): Navigate client pipelines, manage tasks, and ensure all client communications and documents are organized within TaxDome.
  • Remote Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records for a diverse portfolio using QuickBooks Online or Xero.
  • Payroll & Compliance: Execute payroll runs, manage source deductions, and prepare T4s, T4As, and ROEs.
  • Sales Tax Filings: Prepare and file GST/HST returns accurately and on time.
  • Digital Client Experience: Use the TaxDome client portal to request documents, answer queries, and maintain a professional, streamlined experience for our clients.
Qualifications & Skills
  • TaxDome Proficiency: Mandatory experience using TaxDome for workflow management, document exchange, and client communication. Candidates should be comfortable with automations and organizers.
  • Software Expertise: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online or Xero.
  • Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience in Canada.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of CRA regulations (GST/HST, Payroll, Year-end workpapers).
  • Remote Work Mastery: Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively in a 100% remote team.
