About the role
As a Purchasing Officer at LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP.', you will play a vital role in the company's supply chain operations. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, procurement and inventory management, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials and supplies to support the company's manufacturing processes.This is a full-time position based in Metro Manila.
What you'll be doing- Identify, evaluate and select qualified suppliers to meet the company's purchasing requirements
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to secure the best possible terms and conditions
- Prepare and process purchase orders, track deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records
- Collaborate with production, logistics and finance teams to optimise purchasing and inventory levels
- Analyse purchasing data, identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for process improvements
- Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and procedures
- At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of procurement software, spreadsheets and other relevant technology
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
