Accounts Receivable Associate

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the invoicing, billing, and collections process to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts to minimize delinquencies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to AR.
• Manage and mentor the accounts receivable team, providing guidance on performance, workload prioritization, and skills development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
• Perform regular reconciliation of accounts receivable records and customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare AR reports, including aging schedules, cash flow forecasts, and collections performance metrics.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure prompt payment and address any billing or payment disputes.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues impacting collections or account accuracy.
• Negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes with clients professionally.
• Identify and implement improvements to the AR process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support automation initiatives and leverage technology to streamline AR workflows.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain audit readiness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable.
• Knowledge of withholding tax and VAT is an advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, especially Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable best practices, internal controls, and financial compliance.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools.
