Safety Systems is an independent occupational hygiene consultancy in Victoria, Australia, operating since 2001. We are looking for a Project Manager, based in the Philippines, to coordinate the scheduling, job arrangements, and reporting workflow for our occupational hygiene services.

This is a remote role working Australian business hours, with the opportunity to relocate to Australia for the right person, subject to performance and visa requirements.

About the role

Based in our Puerto Princesa office and reporting to the Principal Occupational Hygienist, you will oversee work from initial enquiry and quoting through to final report delivery. Your responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling occupational hygiene fieldwork and coordinating the calendars of technicians and consultants
  • Liaising with clients to arrange site access, bookings, and timeframes
  • Managing the job pipeline and tracking status, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Coordinating sample dispatch to laboratories and tracking turnaround times
  • Reviewing technical reports for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, with professional sign off remaining with a qualified hygienist
  • Maintaining document control, templates, and project records
  • Reporting on job progress and workload to management

What you will bring:

  • Must have a degree in a natural science discipline, for example chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or physics
  • The scientific background to understand occupational hygiene methods, results, and reports at a technical level
  • Project coordination or project management experience, ideally in a technical, scientific, or consulting setting
  • Written and verbal English to a high standard, suitable for reviewing technical reports and working with Australian clients and staff
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling or project management tools
  • The ability to work Australian business hours from the Philippines
  • Familiarity with occupational hygiene and laboratory reporting (an advantage)
