Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Plant Operations Manager/Supervisor, the Maintenance Engineer-Mechanical will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment within the facility. This role ensures operational efficiency, compliance with safety standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, HACCP-aligned manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of supporting cross-functional teams in technical problem-solving and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems, utilities, and production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical reports, equipment specifications, and documentation for audits.
- Support internal and external inspections related to mechanical systems.
- Recommend and implement engineering solutions to improve equipment performance and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to align mechanical operations with HACCP and ISO standards.
- Assist in planning and execution of facility upgrades, installations, and technical projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for mechanical services and procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (licensed Mechanical Engineer is a plus).
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
- Proficiency in CAD software, MS Office, and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
