Now, we're looking to take our efficiency to the next level with the help of a seasoned Senior Software Engineer based in the Philippines who specialises in building automation tools for internal workflows.

The Role

We're looking for someone who has spent years in this space, has strong opinions on how to do it well, and can mentor others while shipping robust solutions independently.

You will:

• Architect, develop, and maintain a suite of automation tools supporting our credit analyst and dev teams
• Design and lead web scraping initiatives, including handling authenticated sessions, anti-bot measures, and large-scale data extraction
• Build sophisticated scripts and tooling to compare PDFs, spreadsheets, and other complex documents
• Design and implement frameworks that simplify and scale our testing processes
• Partner with engineering and operations leaders to identify high-leverage opportunities for automation
• Set technical direction and best practices for automation across the company
• Mentor other engineers and review code to uphold a high-quality bar
• Take end-to-end ownership of the reliability, security, observability, and performance of automation systems

You'll bring:

• 6+ years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, or web scraping, with a track record of shipping production-grade tools
• Deep expertise in Python (or similar scripting languages) and a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals
• Proven experience scraping complex, authenticated websites discreetly and at scale, including handling rate limits, sessions, and dynamic content
• Strong knowledge of PDF, Excel, and other file formats, and the libraries and techniques used to parse, compare, and manipulate them
• Experience designing internal tools that real users rely on day-to-day
• A history of working autonomously, scoping ambiguous problems, and driving them to completion
• Strong judgement on when to build, when to buy, and when to defer
• A collaborative mindset and experience thriving in remote, distributed teams
• Excitement about contributing technical leadership in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
