Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Business Development Manager – Bancassurance to lead partnership growth and sales expansion through bancassurance channels for an HMO provider in the Philippines. The role is responsible for managing relationships with banking partners, driving healthcare product penetration within the bank network, and achieving sales and revenue targets through strategic collaboration.
The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in bancassurance, insurance partnerships, or financial services business development, with a deep understanding of corporate healthcare products, distribution channels, and partnership management.
Key Responsibilities
Bancassurance Partnership Management- Develop and strengthen relationships with partner banks, bancassurance teams, and key decision-makers.
- Manage day-to-day coordination with banking partners to drive sales performance and account growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand HMO product offerings within partner bank channels.
- Ensure alignment of sales strategies and business objectives with bancassurance partners.
- Drive achievement of sales, revenue, and partnership growth targets.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for bancassurance channel expansion.
- Generate new business opportunities through bank referrals, cross-selling, and corporate banking relationships.
- Conduct sales presentations, product orientations, and business reviews with partners and clients.
- Provide training and product knowledge sessions to bank relationship managers and sales teams.
- Support bancassurance teams with sales tools, marketing materials, and product updates.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve partner engagement and sales effectiveness.
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients acquired through bancassurance channels.
- Address partner concerns, operational issues, and escalations in coordination with internal teams.
- Monitor account renewals, persistency, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and bancassurance market developments.
- Recommend strategies to improve market penetration and channel productivity.
- Provide insights on product positioning, pricing competitiveness, and customer needs.
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and partnership performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, banking standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of accounts, proposals, and agreements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Management, or any related field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in:
- Bancassurance
- Business Development
- Insurance or HMO Sales
- Financial Services or Banking Industry
- Proven experience managing bank partnerships and distribution channels.
- Strong track record in achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong understanding of bancassurance operations and partnership management.
- Knowledge of HMO products, healthcare insurance, and employee benefits.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
